Assume a Communication Disorder: Students will assume a communication disorder such as a dysfluency, hearing loss, hard hearing, articulation disorder, etc. while communicating with a stranger (or strangers) in two different situations. Students will compose a typewritten synopsis of the experience. Students will include a brief description of the chosen communication disorder (Choose asha.org as source), a description of the communication settings/situations, a brief summary of the conversation that took place and the listener(s) reaction(s), and finally, feelings both prior to, and during the experience. Students will also compare/contrast the two experiences and discuss what was learned from these experiences.
