Requirements for the writing assignment:

1. Content: Reflection papers are to be used as proof of your thoughtful, meaningful, and critical thinking of our subject matter. You should use your textbook and other sources used in class to help you develop an informed opinion based on facts and not biases.

2. Length: 2 to 4 pages (Times New Roman 12-point font; double-spaced; 1 inch margins top/bottom; left/right).

3. Citations: These are not required however, you are expected to use these when appropriate. You will use MLA format. When using citations, you will need to provide a work cited list at the end of the essay. If you have questions concerning how to incorporate citations, please consult either the instructor or the writing center.

4. Questions:

What were your political thoughts and attitudes prior to taking this course?
How did your political socialization play a role in developing these thoughts?
What particular area of the course impacted you the most? Why?
Has what you have learned affected preconceptions or misconceptions prior to this class?
Will what you have learned change your behavior in the future?
