Your final research paper should reflect your understanding of urban justice issues and incorporate theories of justice and methodologies presented in lectures and assigned readings. Construct the paper to reflect on historical, spiritual, sociopolitical, and cultural issues as they relate to urban ministry in America. Examples of issues include poverty, political/ human rights, racism and the environment, and racism and the economy.
The final research paper should contain at least seven to ten pages. Your writing should be logical, well organized, and grammatically accurate, double-spaced and in an easy-to-read font. Cite at least four sources, using Turabian style for your citations.

Please proofread your paper for errors in grammar, spelling, and logic. Cite at least four sources, using Turabian style for your citations. To receive full credit, your paper must include the following: 1. A clear thesis statement 2. An argument from a strong Judeo–Christian perspective with scriptural text and theological reflection 3. Examples and illustrations to support the position you’ve taken 4. A minimum of four citations: at least two books, one journal article, and one citation from a scholarly website
The major project for this course is a research paper. Your research paper should reflect your understanding of urban justice issues/social problems, and incorporate the theories of justice and the methodologies presented in lectures and assigned readings. Examples of issues that you may consider include poverty, political/ human rights, racism and the environment, and racism and the economy. You may select a theme from the textbooks listed on this syllabus. These texts may provide a foundation for the basic research needed for the development of the paper. You should, however, include at least four other sources of information, and at least two of these must be books.
